On the menu of L'Enfant Roi
Flavorful and balanced cooking! The dishes are prepared with passion by professional chefs. The meals are strictly supervised by specialized child nutritionists, in collaboration with the Chef. A dietary plan is defined according to the seasons and the age of the children.
A good diet is essential for the growth, development and well-being of children. Rich in fruits, vegetables, grains and proteins, our menus meet the specific needs of each stage of development. We cultivate good food practices in creches.
Healthy and tasty!
At L’Enfant Roi, we believe in fostering positive eating habits for a lifetime. From a young age, we introduce them to new flavors and encourage them to try everything. We promote authentic cuisine, striking the perfect balance between taste and nutrition.
For babies, it’s all about discovering textures and flavors We serve colorful and visually appealing plates, with a specific focus on providing essential nutrients like fiber and healthy fats. We adapt the pace of food diversification to seamlessly match what’s happening at home. Toddlers discover proteins and refine their taste buds with the introduction of gentle spices. For older children, they eat almost like adults but in appropriate quantities. From the first tastes of diverse textures to the confident eater, L’Enfant Roi ensures every child’s specific needs are catered to.
In-season produces
The menus are based on fresh seasonal produce, ensuring a vibrant variety of gourmet dishes throughout the year. Children can also discover and appreciate the flavours of yesteryear: sunchokes, parsnips and other forgotten vegetables are on the menu, we tantalize their taste buds with a symphony of flavors.
Local suppliers are encouraged, to support local producers and promote short supply chains. This approach is part of our drive for more sustainable food and support for the local economy.
What about special meals?
We pay particular attention to allergic risks, diagnosed intolerances and cultural requirements, adapting our menus to suit these needs.
When enrolling your child, please inform us of them. This will enable us to personalize their menus, offering two main options: meals with simple exclusions and meals with strict exclusions.
What happens at a "Montessori meal"?
We never force children to eat. The role of the educator is to familiarise them with a wide variety of tastes and textures – a time of discovery! We don’t give up on the first refusal; a food may be presented between 10 and 15 times before the child likes it. The important thing is to go at their pace, without pushing them.
Children are free to choose what and how much they eat. This is why we have set up a self-service system for children over 2 years old, which perfectly meets this need.
Mealtime is also a time for sharing and exchanging, between love of good food and conviviality.
